BBR Challenge #3: Overcoming Obstacles
It’s the third week of the Six-Week Challenge, and we have a new challenge for you! This week, we want to know how you overcome obstacles as you transform your life. You can check out the challenge post here and submit your comment for a chance to win a prize!
To help you tackle this week’s challenge head-on, here’s a guide to overcoming obstacles!
1. Identify Your Obstacles.
In order to overcome your obstacles, you need to know what they are! While some obstacles that you can’t anticipate will arise, there are some that you can identify ahead of time. Take a look at your current life situation and look for any obstacles that may be coming your way. For example, some people are trying to overcome a lifetime of poor eating habits. Some are short on time. Some people struggle with emotional eating. Everyone is different, so pay close attention to what your unique situation is and what challenges you may face.
2. Make a Game Plan.
Once you’ve identified your personal obstacles, it’s time to make a plan to overcome them! For example, if you have a busy schedule and struggle to find time to cook healthy meals for yourself on weekdays, doing some meal prep ahead of time can be invaluable. If you find yourself skipping evening workouts, wake up earlier and do them in the morning. If you know it’s impossible for you to resist junk food, keep it out of your cupboards. By planning ahead for your obstacles, it will be much easier to overcome them!
3. Make a Commitment.
Having a game plan only matters if you stick with it. Make a commitment to stay on track and overcome the obstacles you encounter. Write down the reasons that you want to transform your life and keep them somewhere you can see them on a regular basis. Then, when you find yourself struggling with temptation or facing down an obstacle, you can return to your reasons why for motivation!
